Who is Palmera Projects?

Palmera Projects is an Australian, independent, not-for-profit, secular, community-based aid and development organisation. Our work includes long-term development projects in the poorest regions of Srilanka, Australia and other developing nations, responding to emergencies and campaigning for a world in which each human being is afforded basic rights.

Where does Palmera Projects work?

Palmera projects currently works in marginalised areas of Sri Lanka, Australia and Cambodia.

Is Palmera connected to any religious organisations?

No. We are a secular organisation, but with support from across the community, including people from all denominations and faiths.

Is Palmera connected to any political organisations

No. We are independent non-governmental organisation.

Where does the money go?

Palmera funds go to our humanitarian projects and awareness initiatives. As all members volunteer their time our administrative costs are minimal.

How does Palmera know that the funds go to where it is needed?

We channel funds directly to local organisations working with local communities. We work closely with these partners who are accountable to our head office.
