Palmera Projects will be hosting their first big event for this year, Enchanted – A Cocktail Night to Captivate. The night will be held on the 7th of August 2010 at Coach bar, situated in GPO, Martin Place. Highlights of the night will include live performances from Sydney’s favoured underground urban band BrowN SugaR, and a photography exhibition which celebrates the concept of ‘freedom’.
We Sow Siem Reap 2010 - Sydney
‘We Sow Siem Reap’ was a highly successful and enjoyable cocktail night at Martin Place Bar in Sydney. The event was organised by Karthik Narayan and Dilan Ponnudurai, participants of the Cambodia Volunteer Program and $4,500 was raised on the night. Well done to all who participated and a big thank you to Karthik and Dilan!
Oztag competition - Sydney
One of our Bronze members organised an action-packed oztag competition with mixed teams vying for the title of ‘Oztag Champion 2010’. Teams braved the blistering heat and powered ahead through-out the day with the grand-final proving to be a clash of the titans.
The Meet Market – Speed Dating for a Cause
An awesome night was had by a group of brave speed-daters at Strathfield Town Hall on 17 April 2010. With $4,100 raised, the event was a big success!
Human Race is coming back this November and it will be bigger and better than ever before! Teams of four will race eachother around Sydney solving clues and completing challenges to win the race so start getting your team together now!!! The race operates as a fundraiser to to support 2 major projects : One project being in the war torn areas of Sri Lanka and the second aiming to support the marginalised and disadvantaged communities in Australia. More than supporting these great causes, Human Race is also set to amaze you with countless daring challenges, puzzles and surprises! On Friday the 26th of June, Enchanted sees the launch of Palmera Projects 2009 Volunteer program and follows the successful launch of the Enchanted Cocktail Ball which was held in Melbourne earlier this year.
The Sydney event will be held at the exclusive , which is a luxurious federation style bar located in the heart of the CBD.
Enchanted will be a great night out, with beautiful fashion, style photographers and fantastic prizes.
We have also lined up a talented live musician and DJ to make your night complete.
This function will also give us the opportunity to showcase the premier of the documentary film Stories of Cambodia, a film which depicts the trials and tribulations of a volunteer school in the city of Siem Reap whilst giving an insight into Cambodia’s scarred history and promising future.
