Background
Youth homlessness is a key issue in Australia that usually goes unnoticed. Currently there are over 44,500 youth homeless each night. As a result of this, many youth go without the proper education and as a result struggle to find employment in the future. Not only does this leave dreams unrealised but it continues a vicious cycle that becomes harder to break. Keeping youth off the streets and in schools is the only solution.

Project Description
Palmera will be sponsoring 1 Scholarship (scholarship value of $5000) in The Youth Off The Streets 2008 Scholarship Program. A key mission of Youth Off The Streets is that all young people should be given the chance to achieve their best. Through our Scholarship Program, Palmera will be supporting those young people who show the potential and desire to further their talents, but who without assistance would struggle to move forward.
The Youth Off The Streets Scholarship Program gives young people throughout Australia the opportunity to make their dreams a reality.

Youth Off The Streets is a non-denominational community organisation working for young people who are disadvantaged, homeless, drug dependent and or recovering from abuse.
It is the mission of the organisation to help disconnected young people to discover greatness within, by engaging, supporting & providing opportunities to encourage & facilitate positive life choices.”
