Background
The greenhouse project is a grass roots livelihood venture targeting the poorest women in Trincomalee that will promote economic stability and greater independence. The women to be involved in the greenhouse venture plan will grow various small crops including carrots, cabbage, tomatoes and other vegetables not normally available in their village. These crops will allow the women of the village to not only feed their families but will also provide them with an ongoing source of income.
